Our Story

We believe that through personal transformation, self-discovery and exploring our full potential we can affect meaningful change in those we serve. Beyond our own professional and clinical development, we, the founding members strive to guide our clients along their transformational journeys. Furthermore, we aspire to train and develop the next generation of psychedelic clinicians.

The founding members of Open Mind Collective came together after a history of working together in a variety of capacities. As we shared our perspectives on the history and traditions of psychedelic psychotherapies – and their potential for the future of mental health treatments – it became clear we had much in common and synergistic skill sets. We resonated with each other’s visions for improving the lives of at-risk populations and therapy outcomes through the responsible use of psychedelic medicines and the healing potential of non-ordinary states of consciousness. We held a strong belief in the need for greater access to the benefits of psychedelic psychotherapy, and particularly helping individuals suffering from Depression, PTSD, and Anxiety. We identified the unique balance of our collective backgrounds and different areas of expertise as a pathway to providing much needed solutions to the ever growing mental health crisis. Together our backgrounds cover a range of approaches that include mindfulness-based therapies, somatic therapies, chronic pain management, dissociative disorders treatment, relational psychoanalysis and archetypal/transpersonal psychology, as well as humanistic/existential psychotherapy.

We realized we were uniquely prepared to open a clinic where we – with our diverse range of experience and knowledge – could develop protocols and cultivate our own new approaches. After many impassioned conversations we knew we were ready to launch as a “collective” in the communal spirit of pooling resources, sharing information, and leveraging our individual strengths to benefit the whole. Our young practice began in service of treating patients from diverse backgrounds, researching cutting edge compounds and protocols, and educating our colleagues to familiarize them with the emerging field of psychedelic assisted psychotherapy.
